For us, it’s all about keeping things simple. Yes, we love experimenting with new recipes and sometimes spend the whole day in the kitchen to play around with new flavours and ingredients (while making an absolute mess ha!).

But we have to confess, cooking three times a day every day of the week isn’t our thing either. There still needs to be time in the day to binge-watch on Netflix, right? 

That’s why we have designed this challenge to be simple, flexible, mess-free and completely effortless, using ingredients that everyone knows of and might already have in their pantry.

Who Is Running This Free Challenge?

Hey, I’m Kirsten, co-founder and creative mind behind Veano. I’m the main recipe developer, a nerd when it comes to food photography, and my obsession is showing others how easy it is to follow a plant-based diet. And I’m eager to bring you actionable tips for a happy and healthy plant-based life! 

In 2016, I had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, which is a disease where your immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue in your body. While doctors decided to put me on heavy medication straight away, it was at this point that I started looking into other ways of managing the condition and began researching diet and lifestyle.

Inspired by research I read, I decided to turn to a plant-based diet and completely change my lifestyle. I’ve always loved cooking but adopting a plant-based diet has given me a renewed inspiration. I found myself spending a lot more time in the kitchen, trying new things each day and rediscovering a sense of creativity, while educating myself about new cooking methods, different nutrients and new ingredients. 

It’s been 4 years now and I feel healthier than ever before. Whether you struggle with health issues yourself, or simply want to do good for your body and our planet, I strongly believe following a balanced, plant-based diet can lead to a healthier, happier life. And I really want people to know that anything is possible!

Why Are We Offering This Challenge For Free?

There’s no catch. No hidden fees or “continuity program.”

But there are a few reasons why we’re doing this…

1. If the whole world went vegan, it could save 8 million human lives by 2050, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by two thirds and lead to health care-related savings and avoid climate damages of $1.5 trillion (University of Oxford). We want to do our part to make vegan cooking as easy and accessible as possible.

2. There are a lot of people struggling to transition to a vegan diet because they don’t have the right support, motivation or information and lack a clear way to move forward that keeps them in the game for more than just a few days. With our 30-day challenge we want to get the right resources into as many people’s hands as possible, while encouraging the world to eat more plants!

3. We want to start building a relationship. Nothing matters more to us than our community! Supporting and inspiring each other, learning and growing together as a community is the most rewarding part of the job and will always come first.
